Prompt # 11 Card Lovers

Any of you CRAZY about making cards?

I've set up a blog featuring (or it will) some of my favorites, some from a friend who doesn't blog yet, and I'll be adding fun and helpful sites to visit to help expand your collection of ideas.

If you wish to have a link to your blog of cards, just let me know in the comments section.
This could be a fun way to learn and share.

Week Off

I have not joined in this past week as, last Monday, my mother fell and broke her pelvis and her shoulder. She will be 90 this summer and has Alzheimer's so this is really not good.
I've missed this creative class and hope to be able to participate in this week's challenges. When I can I'll go back and see if I can catch up.

Prompt # 5

Craft Room in REAL Time:

Sorry about the stamps picture being on its side. This is how my craft room looks. I love that everything is right there easy at hand and I can always just close the door when company
comes by.

Prompt # 4

The Best Laid Plans ............

Ever make a decision and then have a lot of things get in the way of your good intentions? That's what happened to me.
I was having company come over so I got everything out to make some special cookies. Then I thought, "I really need to find a better way to "celebrate" than with food. So I put everything back in the cupboards.
When my friend arrived she handed me her "out-of-this-world" peanut butter fudge. It is so good and I wanted to be a good host so ---what could I do but serve it and, of course, have a piece myself.
Shortly after she left, a neighbor came by with, you guessed it, another batch of peanut butter fudge. She used her mother's recipe--the one I remember growing up. YUM!
Once again, I have to be a good host so I had another piece.
I've thought about freezing some but I haven't done it yet. You never know when more company will show up and I'd want to serve them something.

Favorite Things; A Work in Progress

Some of my favorite things at the moment are:
spending time with my friends,
having gotten to know my mom as a kid (she has Alzheimer's and she's back to her childhood--which I am enjoying right along with her--VERY different from the woman I grew up with),
scrapbooking and card making,
reading,
and working with a few kids at a school
AND, oh yes, trying to find other ways to celebrate, other than CHOCOLATE. Not sure that is possible, but I'm working on it!

Prompt # 2

At the bottom is the photo I choose for this prompt.
On the top is the page I made from that photo. We got 6 inches of snow on the first full day of spring this year.
I cut a blackout snowflake for the journaling appearing on the front and I made a card-like item, with a little girl peeking out the window, for my hidden journaling.

Doggie Page

I used Create a Critter Cricut cartridge to help make this page.

Prompt # 1

Here are two pictures I definitely want to scrapbook later. Right now I'm really busy making invitations to a bridal shower and a retirement party. Hopefully, this way, I can record something faster than scrapbooking and it will enable me to remember when I do have to time to put it together.

The first photo I took at school on, obviously, St Patrick's Day. Kelsey is being her usual self when a camera is pointed her way and her kids don't even notice as it's part of their life with her. Lucky kids!

Suzy and Kelsey came for a visit. Suzy still gets car sick so it's a hard 20 minute ride for her. Once she's here, though, she's her usual "puppy" self.

WELCOME

I have created this blog for my on-line class with Shimelle: Blogging for Scrappers.
Please come back and visit, as I'm certain, things will be added often.
